For EVA case manufacturers/exporters to EU (or supplying OEMs who feed into EU markets), this means that not only the outer shipping box but also the “protective case” itself will increasingly come under scrutiny: design for recyclability, use of recycled content, material transparency.

Conduct a “material & structure audit” of your EVA cases: including shell material, foam inserts, hinges, fabrics, adhesives. Evaluate recyclability, separation of components, potential for reuse, recycled content.

Prepare compliance documentation: material declarations, recyclability statements, labelling (if required later), chain‐of‐custody for recycled content.

Consider designing “single‐material” constructions or easily separable modules (shell + foam liner detachable), to facilitate recycling at end-of-life.

Engage with customers (especially in EU) early to confirm their packaging/case supply chain requirements tied to PPWR: e.g., they may ask for evidence of recyclability, recycled content %, or end‐of‐life take-back programmes.
