Research firm Omdia estimates 2.3 million PC gaming handhelds will sell in 2025—up 32% YoY—expanding the installed base that also buys third-party protection and storage. Category momentum is set to continue through 2029, widening the attach-rate opportunity for cases sized to Steam Deck-class devices as well as smaller 8-inch Windows handhelds.

Expect more “universal” EVA shells with modular velcro cradles to cover multiple models without re-tooling every season.
